Guardian of the Ice Gems

Guardian of the Ice Gems is the 18th episode of Season 11.

Summary[]

The Arendelle miners have discovered the rarest Ice Gems on top of the mountains and Anna has volunteered to help find them, but when Captain Hook teams up with Prince Hans to kidnap the Winter Equifoxes and force them to find the gems for them, Captain Jake, Sofia, and Kwazii, along with a cute baby Winter Equifox, must work together to stop them, help Anna find the ice gems, and save the Winter Equifoxes by learning and using their secret powers.

Plot[]

The episode begins at Arendelle Castle where Queen Elsa is sitting in her throne, writing documents. Just then, the Arendelle miners burst through the doors, shouting to the queen in excitement and holding some heart-shaped multicolored gemstones in their hands, telling them that they have found the legendary Ice Gems on the wintery mountains while they were hiking to the caves. From the corner, Anna hears the news and says that they could made into jewelry by the royal jewelry makers if they find a lot of those gems. But that's not all the miners found, they've also found the guardians of the ice gems, the Winter Equifoxes, wintery fantasy foxes guarding the ice gems. Elsa is worried about the foxes and thinks that they're dangerous if they're really trying to guard the gems from intruders, but Anna reluctantly volunteers to help find the gems for them before her sister can stop her.

Later in Anna's bedroom, Anna was busy packing up everything she needs in her Ice Gem searching adventure: a pick ax, some snow shoes, earmuffs, winter coat, hiking boots, extra clothes, and food. But Elsa was still concerned about her sister and asks if she'll be okay on her own. Anna tells her sister that she'll be fine and Olaf will be with her since Kristoff and Sven won't be coming because they have a lot of ice to deliver in Arendelle, and she and Olaf will be back tomorrow morning with the Ice Gems. Smiling, Elsa and Anna hugged as the coach arrived and Anna and Olaf were off to the mountains to find the Ice Gems!

Two days later, Elsa was beginning to worry because her sister and Olaf haven't come back yet, so she picks up the telephone and dials the numbers of her friends for her help.

At Disney Junior Town, Captain Jake, Sofia, and Kwazii were playing magical badminton when Kwazii's iDisney rings. As they stopped their game, Kwazii picks up his phone and gets the call from Queen Elsa who is asking for their help and begging them to come to Arendelle, it was urgent! After arriving at Arendelle through one of Kwazii's portals, Kwazii, Captain Jake, and Sofia arrive at the gates of the Arendelle castle to see Elsa with a worried expression on her face. As they meet in the sitting room, Elsa explains to her friends that Anna and Olaf have gone up to the mountains to find the rarest Ice Gems, but they haven't come back in two days, and she was worried that something might have happened to them. Going over to her, Captain Jake tells the ice queen to not worry and that he, Sofia, and Kwazii will find her sister and their snowman friend. He then receives a look of appreciation from Elsa as she summons the royal coachman to fetch the carriage for her friends to ride to the mountains. The three friends hop into the carriage and wave goodbye to Elsa as she response good luck and waves goodbye to them back. It took them two hours to get there, but then the air grew crisp and cold, meaning that they have finally arrived at the snowy mountains. As Captain Jake, Kwazii, and Sofia got out of the carriage, they prepared to hike up the mountain to search for Anna and Olaf by taking the smoothest path to where they were last seen. Later, a snowstorm was coming quick so using his super sight, Kwazii finds a cave nearby. They ran inside the cave and as they were cozy, Sofia, Captain Jake, and Kwazii fell asleep as the storm died down.

The next morning, the pirates and the princess were well rested and ready to continue their search for Anna and Olaf. They walked on the path that was now less slippery when suddenly, Kwazii saw two figures warming up at a campfire. He rushes towards them while Sofia and Captain Jake followed behind him, and to their surprise, they found Anna and Olaf! As the three ran to Anna and Olaf, they gave them both hugs as Anna begins to ask what they were doing on the mountains. Captain Jake explains that he, Kwazii, and Sofia have come up here to look for them, and they found them. So now it's time to go back to Arendelle, but Olaf says that they haven't found the Ice Gems yet and they need to keep looking. Before any of the friends could protest, something was shaking in the snow covered bushes as Kwazii prepares to attack. But before Kwazii could attack, a baby winter equifox jumps out of the bushes and Kwazii lowered his magic sword as he and his friends saw how cute it was. Anna then introduces the winter equifox baby to her friends and tells them that she and Olaf met her while looking for ice gems. The word "ice gems" made the baby winter equifox dig in the snow and find an ice gem then give it to Anna, which inspires Kwazii to call the baby Ice Gem and to give Sofia an idea. Setting her magical creature power disc making kit down, she opens it, which amazes Olaf, and starts working on a new disc. Finally, after some programming, Sofia downloads the discs and tosses them to Captain Jake and Kwazii. But before they could insert their discs into their suits, Ice Gem jumps up and catches the discs in her mouth then starts playing with them. Just then, Olaf had an idea! Pulling his stick arm off, Olaf calls to Ice Gem to play fetch and as she heard him, Ice Gem drops the discs and runs up to Olaf to play with him. That gave Kwazii and Captain Jake some time to get their discs. After they retrieved their discs, they inserted them into their magical creature power suits, then touched Ice Gem, and pressed their buttons on their suits to activate their new Winter Equifox power suits!

As they transformed, Kwazii and Captain Jake high fives each other and turned to their friends with confidence as they said they will help Anna and Olaf find the ice gems in seconds. Olaf and Anna gave them excited grins and soon, everyone got to digging for the ice gems! There was a montage of the gang digging into the snow for the ice gems as they collected each and every one. Elsewhere, Captain Jake was digging up another patch of snow when he heard two familiar voices from the distances thanks to the Winter Equifox's amazing super hearing. That almost sounds like... Captain Hook and Prince Hans? Captain Jake quietly went over and cleared some bushes out of the way just to see Captain Hook, Mr. Smee, Sharky, Bones, and even Prince Hans with sleighs.... and real live Winter Equifoxes! What were they doing in the mountains, and why have do they have some Winter Equifoxes held prisoner? After realizing why, Captain Jake headed back to his friends to tell them what was going on as he grabbed his ice gems and ran off.

Meanwhile, Kwazii, Sofia, Olaf, and Anna have collected all the ice gems just when Captain Jake appeared, out of breath. When Sofia asked worriedly where he had been, Captain Jake explains that Prince Hans is here in the mountains looking for ice gems too, but that's not even the worst part: Captain Hook and his crew were there too, and even worse, they have Winter Equifoxes being held captive and forced to find ice gems for them! Hearing all this made Anna angry and she declares that they must stop the villains and save the Winter Equifoxes. But Olaf asked about going back to Arendelle with the ice gems just as Anna tells him that it will have to wait because right now, saving the Winter Equifoxes and stopping Captain Hook and Prince Hans is more important. Kwazii then comes up with a plan! While Hans and Hook were forcing more Winter Equifoxes to find more Ice Gems, something caught Hook's eye: another Winter Equifox, not knowing that it's Kwazii or Jake in their power suits. Turning to his crew, Captain Hook ordered Mr. Smee, Sharky, and Bones to catch them although they didn't want to, but they had no choice. As they were searching for more Winter Equifoxes, Captain Jake and Kwazii hid in some bushes as Kwazii throws one of his snowflake stars to distract Prince Hans and Captain Hook and make them walk over to a bush. Then, they ran off as Kwazii switched on his invisibility power to run to the Winter Equifoxes and cut off their ropes with his magic sword. After releasing a few Winter Equifoxes, they escaped as Kwazii cuts off more ropes just before Captain Hook and Prince Hans walked back to their sleigh to find that a few Winter Equifoxes escaped. Quickly, Kwazii threw his snowflake stars at the trees again while Captain Jake distracted Prince Hans, Captain Hook, Mr. Smee, Bones, and Sharky. Then as Kwazii was cutting the ropes, Sofia, Anna, and Olaf came to help.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the mountain, Prince Hans, Captain Hook, and his crew were searching for more Winter Equifoxes to capture and force to find ice gems when they spotted the shadow shaped like a Winter Equifox. Prince Hans then decides to stop it so he pulls out a pistol and aims it at Captain Jake, who zooms through the trees. As Hans fired his pistol, the bullet fired at Captain Jake but it didn't shot at him, but it did leave a scratch on his shoulder as he stopped and hid behind a tree and held onto to his injured shoulder, which starts bleeding a little bit. Just then, Kwazii rushes over to his friend and asks him if he was okay just when he saw the cut on Captain Jake's shoulder. He then held out his paw to heal it and send the blood back into Captain Jake's body just when Captain Hook and Prince Hans appeared, with the captured Sofia, Anna, Olaf, and the newly captured Winter Equifoxes! They mocked Captain Jake and Kwazii and soon, they were off to the Jolly Roger! Kwazii and Captain Jake have to move fast to save their friends, and fast! So they went off to follow the villains and save their friends. The ice gems will have to wait.

In the Jolly Roger, Sofia, Anna, and Olaf were already locked inside a cage while watching Captain Hook, Mr. Smee, Sharky, and Bones chain up the Winter Equifoxes and Hans mockingly waves the keys in front of Anna's face, saying to her that he and Captain Hook are gonna find all the ice gems before Anna and her friends do, much to her and Sofia's annoyance. Sofia tells Hook and Hans that they'll never find all the ice gems and that they'll stop them, just as Captain Hook scoffs and says "that stuck in that cage you won't", and laughing evilly together, Captain Hook and Hans walked up back to the deck and left Mr. Smee, Sharky, and Bones to watch the Winter Equifoxes, Sofia, Anna, and Olaf. After they were gone, Anna tried to think of a plan just as Sofia noticed that Mr. Smee, Sharky, and Bones looked at the poor Winter Equifoxes with sympathetic expressions on their faces, which gives her an idea. Since the three pirates didn't like seeing the Winter Equifoxes in chains, maybe Sofia and Anna can trick them into releasing them and the Winter Equifoxes. Turning to the three pirates, Anna asks them what the Winter Equifoxes would be like if they weren’t in those chains as they thought for a moment until Bones says that the Winter Equifoxes would be like frolicking in the snow and playing around in it, then Sharky thought about himself playing with the Winter Equifoxes and Mr. Smee thought about making a snowman with them. The plan seems to work and finally, Mr. Smee, Sharky, and Bones decided that they should release the Winter Equifoxes, but on one condition, they’ll have to release Sofia, Anna, and Olaf from the cage as Sharky inserted the key into the keyhole and the girls and the snowman got out to help the pirates unlock the chains off the Winter Equifoxes.

Meanwhile, outside the Jolly Roger, Captain Jake and Kwazii have arrived to help save their friends and the Winter Equifoxes. Kwazii sprouts his Aqua Wings and Captain Jake hops on his back before they dove into the water to swim to the Jolly Roger. As they arrived, Kwazii flew up to see through the window that Mr. Smee, Sharky, and Bones are helping Sofia, Anna, and Olaf unchain all the Winter Equifoxes which had him and Captain Jake confused until they realized that the girls are tricking Hook’s crew into releasing them. Seeing them at the window, Sofia was relieved and whispers to the pirate pals that they need to find a way to get the Winter Equifoxes out of the Jolly Roger before Captain Hook and Hans come back. Without thinking, Bones suggests that they should take the little boat, but the only problem was that it was on the other side of the Jolly Roger. Luckily, Kwazii had that covered as he made the small boat appear below them. Now all they needed to do is help release the other Winter Equifoxes from their cages and chains. After unlocking the last chains and cages, the last of the Winter Equifoxes were free and Kwazii and Sofia lead them down to the boat, but suddenly, Bones heard Captain Hook and Hans coming back down, and if they find out that he, Sharky, and Mr. Smee are helping Kwazii, Captain Jake, Sofia, Anna, and Olaf help the Winter Equifoxes escape, they'll get super mad! Luckily, Ice Gem was the last Winter Equifox to escape into the boat as the pirates helped Captain Jake, Kwazii, Sofia, Anna, and Olaf out last and shut the window behind them, and just in time, too!

When Captain Hook and Prince Hans arrived to see the empty cages and chains, they snapped at Mr. Smee, Sharky, and Bones why they cages and chains have been unlocked as they tried to explain everything, only they were stammering in nervousness. As Kwazii pushed the boat with his friends and the Winter Equifoxes in it, they were far from the Jolly Roger and were safely and happily back on shore as the Winter Equifoxes got out first and Ice Gem went out to join her mother and they rubbed each other’s cheeks together. After the Winter Equifoxes were happily free, Captain Jake, Kwazii, Sofia, Anna, and Olaf watched them but they felt bad that they didn't find any ice gems, until Anna sends her friends a smile as she puts her hand in her pocket and pulls out five pouches, which had inside... ice gems! Kwazii asked Anna how she found them as she explains that while she, Sofia, and Olaf were about to be locked up in their prison, she sneakily stole some of the pouches from Hans, who was busily laughing with Captain Hook. Smirking, Captain Jake tells Anna that she is one clever princess as Anna took that as a compliment and thanks him for that.

Later, the coach with Anna and her friends arrived at the Arendelle palace and Elsa ran up to her sister to give her a hug when she was happy and relieved to see her okay, but she was also happy when she saw the pouches of ice gems that Anna had with her, then she saw the Winter Equifoxes and Ice Gem with her and asks what they were doing here. When Anna was done explaining her story, it gave Elsa an idea.

Later, everyone was gathered around as Elsa announced that the Winter Equifoxes have helped Anna and her friends find ice gems and has decided to them Arendelle’s official ice gem diggers, much to everyone’s enthusiasm. Now there will be plenty of ice gems to find and make into jewelry when the Winter Equifoxes find them and they make the best companions to the nice miners way better than to Captain Hook and Prince Hans, and now Captain Jake and Kwazii can use their new Winter Equifox power suits to play with Ice Gem and Anna and Olaf join in. Sofia, Elsa, Kristoff, and Sven laughed happily when they saw Olaf use his arm to play fetch with Ice Gem again, ending the episode.
